Getting Started
First week checklist
A practical path from signup to a useful monitoring day. Times are approximate — the goal is signal, not perfection.
Day 1 — connect
- Create the organization and set timezone and week start under Organization → Schedule.
- Connect Slack and choose channels that reflect real team work (not every noise channel).
- Install the GitHub App on the repos that matter.
- Optionally connect Jira for delivery events.
Day 2–3 — people & access
- Invite members from Organization → Members. Roles range from Viewer to Owner; permissions are tunable under Permissions.
- Review the People directory — link identities if Slack / GitHub accounts did not auto-match.
- Create teams if you filter monitoring or reports by group.
- Tag AI coding agents as agent workers so they use the right scoring weights and skip Satisfaction.
Day 4 — calibrate the view
- Open Monitoring for today. Filter by integration or human/agent if the board is noisy.
- Skim Reports once you have a few weekdays of data — fair totals respect your org calendar.
- Enable SPACE scoring when you are ready for dimensional signals (not a stack rank).
- Turn on the statistics you care about under Organization → Statistics.
Ongoing
- Pipe internal tools via the Ingest API when Slack/GitHub alone miss important work.
- Give AI assistants read access with hosted MCP.
- Check billing & retention so history matches your plan.
